Lenhart (1898-1992) stammte aus Kufstein, studierte in Wien und Florenz und ließ sich 1922 als junger Grafiker in Meran nieder. Bereits zwei Jahre später schaffte er mit einem Plakat für das staatliche Tourismusamt Enit den Durchbruch: Sein "Visitate le Dolomiti" hing bald in ganz Italien. Spätestens 1930 hatte Lenhart seinen eigenen Stil gefunden: im Hintergrund platzierte er meist Berge, im Vordergrund dynamische Skifahrer oder elegante Frauen mit starker erotischer Ausstrahlung. Auf Lenharts Plakaten war Südtirol nicht mehr das Land der Andreas Hofer-Gestalten, sondern ein mondänes Freizeitparadies. Lenhart-Originale waren aber bald eine gesuchte Rarität. Der Kreis für Kunst und Kultur von St. Ulrich hat die Ehre mehr als 25 Plakate präsentieren zu dürfen, von denen die meisten durch die freundliche Mitwirkung des Touriseums in Meran und auch von Privaten zur Verfügung gestellt wurden. Die interessanten Motive der Werke, die schon vor einigen Jahrzehnten zahlreiche Touristen in das Grödnertal eingeladen haben, werden nunmehr eine Verbindung zur wunderbaren Winterlandschaft der Dolomiten herstellen. ___________________ Nato a Kufstein, Franz J. Lenhart (1898 - 1992) studiò a Vienna e Firenze, prima di approdare nel 1922, già giovane grafico, a Merano. Due anni più tardi riuscì a vendere all'ENIT, Ente Nazionale Italiano per il Turismo, un suo manifesto, "Visitate le Dolomiti", che fece ben presto il giro della penisola. Entro il 1930 riuscì a definire un proprio stile personale: montagne come sfondo, sulle quali si stagliano figure dinamiche di sportivi o sensuali immagini di avvenenti donne. Grazie a questi manifesti, l'Alto Adige smise di essere, nell'immaginario italiano, semplicemente la terra contadina di Andreas Hofer, trasformandosi in moderno paradiso turistico. Gli originali di Lenhart divennero presto una rarità. Il Circolo Artistico e Culturale di Ortisei ha il piacere di potere presentare più di 25 manifesti, la gran parte di cui sono stati dati in prestito dal Touriseum di Merano e da alcuni privati. I motivi interessanti delle opere esposte, che già decenni fa hanno invitato tanti ospiti nella Val Gardena, creeranno anche nelle prossime settimane una correlazione stretta con il paesaggio invernale stupendo delle Dolomiti. ___________________ Franz J. Just two years later he achieved a breakthrough with his poster for Enit, the Italian national tourism agency: his "Visitate le Dolomiti" soon appeared all over Italy. By 1930 at the latest Lenhart had discovered his own style: in the background mountains were usually visible, while in the foreground appeared dynamic skiers or elegant women radiating strongly erotic tones. Lenhart's posters showed South Tyrol not as the land of Andreas Hofer, but as a sophisticated leisure paradise. Lenhart originals soon became sought-after rarities. The Artistic and Cultural Circolo of Ortisei has the pleasure to present more than 25 manifests, the major part of which are given in kind lending by Touriseum of Merano and by privates. The interesting motives of the exposed works, which have already invited many guests in Val Gardena some decades ago, will create a strong ligament to the amazing wintry landscape of the Dolomites in the next few weeks.
